My friend Kate Miller always teaches me SO much! In fact, she is the one who taught me the term, "LOVE IS AN INTERVENTION"! Well, in the days leading up to this week I found myself using another one of my favorite "Kate quotes". This quote helped me keep my anxiety about going ALL IN in check. As I found myself thinking about all that could go wrong or things that I may have forgotten to plan for, I began to remind myself to "stop dress rehearsing tragedy"!
Isn't that a great reminder? How many times have you been worried or anxious about something and then after it actually happens you realize that it wasn't bad at all? Think about how much mental energy you waste worrying about things you can't control. I mean of course a good plan is always important but after we have thought it through, we need to be okay with not thinking about it anymore until it happens! The anxiety and anticipation that led up to this week was INTENSE! But, we did it! Some things worked and some things didn't but WE DID IT! And we are fixing the things that aren't working! What tragedies are you dress rehearsing? What can you let go?
